This program is part of FLC’s mission to make our arts programming accessible to diverse audiences and allows us to also foster connections between our audiences and local organizations that are making an impact. Visit the Criterion Closet

In celebration of its 40th anniversary, Criterion has built a replica of its famous film closet inside an 18-foot delivery van, and later this month, they will be taking their Criterion Closet Picks show on the road.

Since 2010, when Guillermo del Toro first allowed Criterion to film him choosing a few discs from the closet, nearly 200 filmmakers, stars, and movie-loving luminaries of all kinds have come to the Criterion offices and championed the films they love in the popular Criterion Closet Picks video series.

Now all film fans at NYFF will be able to have their own Criterion Closet experience and record their own Closet Picks videos as the mobile closet makes its way around the country. The mobile Criterion Closet will make its debut at Alice Tully Hall during the Opening and Centerpiece weekends of the 62nd New York Film Festival, September 28–29 and October 5–6. Learn more here!
